“I joined Harriers around 15 years ago following advice from a friend who had been a Harrier for a number of years. I wanted to improve fitness and times. I turned up somewhat apprehensive but was immediately welcomed and taken into the fold.
 
I always say I should have joined the club much earlier than I did. I quickly got involved in the busy Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturday pack runs from the club which helped strength and fitness. There is always a sense of camaraderie. Representing the club wearing the red vest in road, cross country or trail races are always proud moments.
 
Members also organised various social events l, often with a running element which prove very popular. There are other seasonal events to enjoy - something for everyone all year round. The club has a rich history stretching over 130 years and have been well represented throughout this time.
 
There is a buzz of excitement connected to the club, from the junior section to the seniors all being coached and encouraged to achieve their running aims and ambitions. I have always enjoyed being a member of the club from the first day to the present and I’m proud to be ‘A Harrier‘."
