Founded in 1893, East Hull Harriers is one of the UK’s oldest running clubs, with a rich history of competition, community, and dedication to the sport. Originally known as Holderness Road Presbyterian Harriers, the club evolved through the decades, shaping the local running scene and producing champions, record-breakers, and passionate athletes.

From hosting prestigious races like the Humber Bridge Marathon to pioneering ultra-distance events, we’ve always been at the heart of East Yorkshire’s running culture. Our Story
With a history stretching back to 1893, East Hull Harriers has grown from a small church-based running group into a club with a lasting impact on the local and national running scene. Over the years, we have moved locations, evolved our name, and expanded our events, but our commitment to the sport has remained unwavering. From early cross-country races and road championships to pioneering ultra-distance events, we have continuously pushed the boundaries of club athletics.
